...you had...
My Wife's Uncle passed unexpectedly several weeks ago and legal matters tend to be in disarray...
Anyway...Trying to help anyway I can, I do my typical searches for Unclaimed Funds.
Normally, I search once a month...and I've found money for my mom, my wife...but today I've found over 35 Unclaimed/Abandon Funds just for her Family alone!!!
My Family tends to know where every penny is, so I RARELY find anything for them.
Here are some simple tips on what you can do to see if you may have some funds to claim.
1st off---Go To: NAUPA and select a State you either currently or previously lived in. Including Canada!!!
This should take you to their Comptroller's Page where Unclaimed Funds get reported and held by the State for a certain period of time before it is forfeited to the State. Some States even Sell Unclaimed Property (Cars, Land, etc.) on eBay!!!
Usually just your last name is enough to get the ball rolling, but some States may require your 1st name as well (such as Hawaii).
If you're curious about other members of your Family (Moms, Dads, Brothers, Sisters, etc.) that may have passed away, in most cases you can make a claim if you're the next/closest decedent.
Most State's will inform you of what supporting documents you may need in order to receive the funds from your claim.
Give it a try...My Mother-in-Law got over $1,000 from an Insurance Policy she totally forgot about.
Good Luck...Hope Y'All find some Mad Mego Money!!!
