Well speaking for myself, I "fell" for nothing. I quickly saw and recognized Sasha Cohen's vulgar garbage for what it was, and did NOT waste 2 hours of my time on it.
Furthermore, I obtained a refund for my and my wife's tickets and walked away soundly in the knowledge that I did not contribute my dollars to that film's box office take.
But you know what? You might still be right. Cohen's goal here may simply have been to get a rise out of people with his vulgarity, and in that sense he may have succeeded. Judging from my posts and the other contributions to this thread, he certainly has people talking about him.
But therein lies the problem.
You, see, there will always be some really un-talented, vicious, cynical, hacks out there who make a name for themselves by annoying as many people as possible, and then laughing about it in a sick, private joke.
But when they gain fame, celebrity, and wealth with this behaviour, the "joke" is ultimately on our society. The "joke" is ultimately on each one of us as we have to look our children in the eye and explain to them why an increasing amount of our "entertainment" is inappropriate for them to enjoy as well.
It saddens me to know that "Bruno", which is rated "R", will likely end up on cable TV in about 6 months. And when it does, virtually any kid flipping channels on his TV will encounter graphic depictions of anal sex, and singing, dancing penises.
Perhaps you find that funny. Perhaps Cohen does too, as you suggest.

My wife and I saw this on saturday. Honestly I do not think it was that funny. I think Borat was more funny. This had parts that you just laughed , but it's not something i'd care to see again.In The " Real World " Vampires Do Not Sparkle. They Burn In the Sun !
