                      If it's "Pete and Repeat was sitting on a fence" and "Pete fell off" then I would think that no one was left on the fence. This guy's name must be "Pete and Repeat." Otherwise it would be "Pete and Repeat were sitting on a fence."

                      I'm pretty sure that's not the joke, but it's what stood out to me.
