Postage stamp for michael?

I just heard that Al Sharpton (T'wana Brawley's friend) wants to have M. Jackson put on a postage stamp? Any thoughts? There usually is a 5 year waiting period after one dies that they can be put on stamps.
Believe it or not I think in 5 years maybe he should get a stamp. No matter how you feel about the guy he was a huge part of our culture. If Elvis can have one I think Michael could.

i'm all for it. but the big question is , what image of michael will they choose? since he went from black to white. i think either his image from the THRILLER or BAD album would be a good choice.

Thriller. Of course, Fay Wray got one. MJ deserves it more than she does. She made cinematic history, he made music history...If Michael Jackson didn't make music, we'd all be depressed.

Yes i agree Thriller would be a good choice,i think its what really launched him into mainstream pop and it was a good album too.

The ole regular stamps I buy from the post office already have the adhesive backing...just peel-n-stick.
But, good question...not being a huge fan myself, it is pretty clear he had a huge following.

I'm thinking something more along the lines of a statue in Washington. He could be sitting on a throne with Bubbles the monkey on his shoulder. Kids could sit on his lap for photo opportunities, and the statue would say "Hee-Heee!" when the kid sat down.

Micheal Jackson was a good kid years ago, it's unfortunate that in later life he had a bunch of loose screws in his head....so in five years if he gets a stamp.... it will be fine.

The ironic thing is Karl Malden (who just died) was on the USPS committee that decides who get's put on commemorative stamps.
