Harrison Ford confirms he's Indy again in 2011

    http://www.theinsider.com/news/23586...na_Jones_again

    From the Insider.com:
Harrison Ford set to play Indiana Jones again

Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford is set to reprise his role as the legendary explorer - despite being almost 70.

Harrison, who turns 67 later on this month, will play the role of Indy in the fifth film in the series and it is claimed it will be his last performance as the adventurer.

It is claimed filming will not start until next year, and it will not be released before 2011, when the star will be 69.

A source said: “Harrison has kept himself in good shape and could still do a lot of the stunts in the last film.”

The source added: “But it’s obviously not going to get any easier the older he gets. He certainly would never have imagined playing Indiana Jones when he was nearing 70!”

They NEED to do another one and go out on a high note. The last film was a train wreck, Lucas, Speilberg and Ford all knew it so I hope they make up for that. I like to see a good film series like Indy go out BIG not fizzle and fade like the Star Trek Next Generation films for example....

I wish they would shoot a couple of them back to back. I want as many Harrison as Indy films as possible before the inevitable passing of the fedora to Mutt!!!!

That might be wise for a variety of reasons...

Sorry, but I'm a hard core Indy fan and collector and while Skull had its moments, it could not measure up in quality to the trilogy before it. "Nuke the fridge" has become the new "jump the shark" and it's well deserved.

Lucas has been out of touch with movie going audiences for quite some time. The Star Wars prequels proved that. Speilberg had to reign Lucas in because ol' George wanted more alien scenes.

Sorry but aliens and Indy don't mix. Mostly everyone I know who is a fan agreed that it was bomb. It opened well at the box office BECAUSE it was Indiana Jones.

Did you like Superman III with Richard Pryor? I thought that was a train wreck, too. The only reason it did well at the box office initially was because fans were expecting another I or II. So they lined up for III. The Salkinds will tell you that III was a fantastic movie, it was IV that killed the series. IV merely followed III into the abyss.

There were some decent scenes in these movies, yes, but overall, they could not match up to the films that came before them in their respective series.
