If you don't know, I priced an entire collection of 3 3/4" GI Joes and G1 Transformers for a lady who was hosting an estate sale. The only things I looked up were the Joe fig and the Xformer figs, and priced them below going ebay prices. There were over 30 1st variation Joes (many complete) and about 20 G1 Transformers (some complete) that I priced to just over $700 total.
There is also about 50 Joe vehicles that I didn't have time to look up, so I just priced them $10, $20, and $30 depending on the size(except the aircraft carrier and Cobra Command center $50 each). Everything came out to about $1500, and not a thing sold. So she called me and said $600, its all yours (thats what I offered her when I 1st saw the collection before looking the up).
Its gonna be a large, long sale, but I figure over $2000 gross.
I feel alittle guilty because it looked like I over priced them just so I can get the entire collection. I told her that, and she understood that I priced them fairly, and that there is just no market for them in Baton Rouge. There are two toy dealers in Baton Rouge, me and one other guy, and he didn't make the sale.
Pics to come....
