There's a company that's specializes in this. I didn't read everything but the cool thing is you can get an estimate online. The stimates were very reasonable. For a huge collection worth say $50,000 is was $261 a year. Different collectibles are included under the policy so it looks liker youc an group things together or get coverage if you only wanted to protect a certain collection or your most value able stuff.

I don't have much thats high dollar, but when you add it all up, I would be SOL if there was a bad accident. Even a $3-5,000 dollar collection would be tough to replace for me.

I just found out that our home owners insurance only covers "acts of God" on many things, and they wouldn't cover much if I was robbed, or another type of accident occured. We are looking into a new additional policy which is very affordable covers other types of accidents, and makes sure my collection, guns, cameras, jewerly and other items are covered.

This is an important thread, and something many take people for granted. We have seen collections of fellow members ruined by fire, floods, hurricanes, now theft, and who knows what else. I want to be proactive and get some insurance before something bad happens. Thanks for addressing it.
