Here in Jersey we have an open air arena that was always called the "Garden State Arts Center" ........ In the 80's PNC Bank bought it and renamed it "PNC Bank Arts Center"

To this day, i've NEVER heard anyone refer to it as PNC Bank Arts Center

Poor PNC Bank ... nobody is calling it by your name - even 20 years later

Same goes for New Jersey's Izod Center (formerly Brendan Byrne Arena and Continental Airlines Arena)

Most people still call it either Brendan Byrne Arena or Continental Airlines Arena.

BTW: Both my house phone and cell phone both still ring. I set my cell phone to "ring" instead of annoying digital music.

HA! Good point grayhank, I never knew that or thought about that. I was like the others in that I thought of an "album" as a record. Good point that makes sense! Now I won't feel so aged when I use the word "album" LOL!

What about the phrase "Tune in." None of us has to "tune" our TV's anymore, we just change the channel! LOL! Of course come to think of it, I haven't actually heard that phrase in a long time though so I don't know if it constitutes dead language that we "still use"...
