I call you all my buddies.
My wife does refer to you all as my dollie friends.
I'm afraid she will never understand...
Then again what can I expect from somebody who gave away all her barbies at 13..

She does however occasionally get me things that would work well for my dollies.(clothes, parts, materials, figs)
Oh yes as much as she hates it she likes it...Muwahahahaha

Little story;Awhile ago my work buddy and I went to the comic store to get some comics and my guy whips out my new Emce Kirk and says "Hey Tony the retro trek figs are in." My buddy looks at me and says "still playing with dolls eh?"
Comic guy then leans over and tells my buddy "Aw don't feel left out,I picked up that Wayne Gretzky Mcfarlane you wanted."
    Booyah!!!...Busted....LOL
I looked at him and simply said..."At least mine is movable, poor old Wayne has to hold his arms in the air forever.Have fun playing with your solid chunk of plastic!!!"
“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”

I say Mego Museum too. I find that if someone knows what "Mego" means, they generally have heard of the Museum. A lot of times though, people don't even know what "Mego" is at which point I feel there's no point in talking about the Museum. LOL! How DARE they not know what a Mego is! The shame, the shame...

I usually say "(insert member name here) at The Museum". I always refer to this place as "The Museum". Sounds classy and I'm sure people who overhear me talking think to themselves, "There's a museum in this town?"

Is that what goes on in the "other room" at Megomeet? Now I know how Nurse Mego turned Dr. Mego into Dr. Love at the 'meet this year. I wondered...(anybody else know what I'm talking about? I guess you had to be there.)

Once by accident I refered to em as "guys at the Museum" and then
I realized that even tho' they had no idea who I was talking about,
it DID make me sound classy by hanging out with guys at a museum

When referring to gropus of people of mixed sexes....it's
common to refer to that group as "the guys" regardless
                    of the technicalities involved.

I remember that there are females here...albeit about

I figured that's what you meant. Just pointing it out to anyone out there that wasn't aware is all.

                              Nice edit of my post

In the context of my original post you took that from,
I explained that I was ALSO referring to THEM (the girls)
when using the term "guys"---as people often do when referring
                              to groups of mixed genders.

                              Geez---don't you white knights have
wives or gfs at HOME to suck up to?

I usually refer to the board as "the message board". No need to make a distinction in my case since this is the only board in which I participate.

In that context, I will say, "One of Dudes on the message board...." or "the Folks over at the message board..." or "my Friend "x" from the message board".

I share interesting opinions and tidbits from our back and forths with my friends. While they tolerate my Mego habits and have about zero interest in that, they do find some of the pop-culture and 70's recollections to be kind of fun. I turned one of my friends on to Plaid Stallions and he is a regular reader and a big fan of the Blog.
