    Karl Malden RIP

Karl Malden, who vaulted to movie prominence in his first role with an Academy Award for best supporting actor for “A Streetcar Named Desire,” but who is perhaps best widely known for his starring role as Lt. Mike Stone on “The Streets of San Francisco” TV series, died at his home in Los Angeles on Wednesday. He was 97.

Great, this will only give Antiquetigger more confidence in his theory.

My daughter and I just watched him as the preacher in Walt Disney's Pollyanna on Sunday. He was a great actor.

Well, I don't know if this really counts as a shocker since he was 97, but he was a great actor. RIP Karl.
