about a Pro Athlete.

My Parents went to a wedding last night where Curtis Lofton showed up because the lady getting married was a friend and High School Classmate.

This Dude is a starting Linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons and started all 16 Games as a Rookie. He had 94 tackles last year (as a Rookie!) and helped the Falcons go from 4-12 to 11-6 in one year.

The Dude is conducting a camp for local kids this year and man, do we all love him for remembering where he came from. Such a class act.

I knew Curtis when he was a kid and he was always a good Dude. I'm not surprised at all by his success, but even more importantly, I'm not surprised that he is willing to still come back to a small town (population 4,200) because he is the kind of Dude that remembers that people here love him and he evidently loves us, too.

(By the way...I was an Oklahoma State Fan until they passed over recruiting him. He went on to be an All-American and started as a Freshman at Oklahoma and the Coach who couldn't bother to call him back was Les Miles.)
