I just saw a interview bit this morning with him on channel 13 as he was heading out of TIA after the plane landing incident.

I feel bad now for telling my wife how annoying he was to me when his commercials came on full blast as he was yelling about a product. He scared the hell out of me most times. I did always want to try Oxy Clean...on my loose Megos and some other things we haven't been able to clean sufficiently.
Toys, does it really work like it says?
Farewell Billy Mays...I can't believe the death toll that's mounting either. It is really weird...

From my experience, it has worked wonders in gently removing the dinginess and making the colors look bright again. It will take out some staining outright, sometimes it takes some careful brushing over the area with a toothbrush (realistically, some stains just won't budge, but I did get rust stains off of a Batman bodysuit with Oxy Clean, a toothbrush, and a couple of soakings). But, yes, it works well for a good cleaning.

I've never been patient enough to take before and after pics, but Oxy Clean does a great job. The left over water in the mixing bowl sometimes looks like dirty bath water.

You know...I used to hate Billy Mays with a passion.

But after watching Pitchmen...I found out that he was actually a very nice and affable guy...he was always cordial to people...even though most of the so-called inventors came up with lousy stuff and had to eventually be turned down...Billy Mays was always nice to them.

I never saw Pitchmen, but I had softened my opinion of Billy after seeing him in some interviews at sporting events. Seemed like a regular Dude, who was making a good living as an old style, carnival barker. I think the Dude was having a ball doing what he did best.

                  Exactly.

His shtick might have been annoying to people...but it was all an act...he was like you said...just a regular dude.

I thought the exact same thing after Mike pointed out the story about the rough landing yesterday. It remains to be seen if that was a contributing factor, but, yeah she was okay for a little bit and then it went downhill.

My sister's friend got hit by a frisbee right on the temple...she got very disoriented, then felt fine...but then she started having a slight hedache shortly afterwards. Well...knowing what had happened to Natasha Richardson...they went to the emergency room just in case...it turned out she had a mild concussion...nothing too serious...but hey...I say that was the right thing to do...regardless of the severity of the blow...you never know.

I need to get some then saildog. I've always wanted to rip out the debit card when the ads come on...now I will finally break down in honor of Billy. Sounds as great as advertised.

I have bought mine at retail outlets. Don't know if Wal-Mart has it because I buy mine at Dollar General, but Billy did such a good job of pitching that the product hit retailer's years ago.

I haven't tried it on toys and it doesn't work as good with stains as it shows on tv, but it's still probably the best thing out there

I dunno where the "horrible person" stuff came from- every account I've ever heard was that we was a really decent guy and just had a heck of personality/character.

I really REALLY wish Pete were still around... we'd have a lot of co-commiserating to do...
