I was 13 in 1976 when Charlie's Angles premiered so I noticed all 3 of those ladies. It was certainly a TV staple at my house back then.
I actually watched the "Farrah's Story" documentary. I thought it was very well done and it showed her grace and courage battling the desease. As both my parents have battled cancer I could relate to what Ryan was going through. When they showed her bald head you had to do a double take remembering her flowing hair style from the '70s.
A true class act for sure. RIP Farrah.

Rip Farrah. She was a smart and strong woman. She will be missed.
And that poster...
When I was 8 or 9, I was at my pediatricians for a checkup and they were really busy. The doc had a small office at the very end of the hallway and when they were backed up, sometimes he saw you in there. I don't recall if I was there for anything in particular or just the annual type thing, but I asked to go the bathroom while I was waiting for him to come in and see me. The nurse said it was ok to use the privy that was attached to the office. So, I go into the Doctors own private little retreat there, and who is staring right at me? Farrah. That amazing poster in my doctors office tucked away in his personal reading room. I suppose he needed a break from all the teddy bears and alphabet blocks once in a while. Goodbye Farrah and thank you. You are indelibly printed on our souls.
I guess I was too young to fully appreciate the Farrah phenomenon. I do remember her on Charlie's Angels, but I've always been more of a Jackyln Smith fan. I was never into blondes, much or women with sharp features. Plus, I was like 2 or 3 when she was on the show.
But she was definitely a HUGE part of pop-culture in the 70s, and proved she had acting chops later on (The Burning Bed for instance). I know she was more famous later for being a bit loopy in interviews, but I think her place in pop culture history is more than secure.
Cancer is a terrible way to go. I'm glad she's not suffering any more......
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.
In the halls of Valhalla where the brave may live forever.
