Gives a whole new meaning to The Big Whopper(somewhat NSFW)

Burger Kings New Ad: A New Low In Vulgar Ads Aimed At Young Customers | The Moderate Voice

I've read book about how sometimes advertisers would put suggestive stuff into the ads subliminally. Most of it was really buried and clever (like an airbrushed "SEX" in the icecubes of a drink).

Now, it's like they aren't even trying.

I'm not sure I can even begin to get where BK is coming from these days. The weirdness seemed to mellow out when they had the Star Trek stuff, but this ad, the tortured onion ad for the angry whopper, that place mat that had the cavity search going on. Doesn't really make me want to go running there to buy...
      It's all good!

It was only a matter of time....

First we had the creepy stalker King peering into windows and showing up in our beds.

Then we had the Moms trying to kill/put a contract hit on the king

                  Now its oral sex.

Almost as strange as the Quizznos oven telling the worker to put it in him.

What the hell is going through these exectutives minds when they OK this stuff?
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
                  Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

BK has been cutting edge advertising wise for a while. I say good for them. This wouldn't even merit attention in Europe or Japan. I still like their Subservient Chicken site and that's about 5 years old.

I don't look at overt "sex jokes"for family resturaunt adverts as "cutting edge"
(as mentioned earlier innuendo has been part of adverts forever).
I look at it as irresponsible...and just plain unappealing.
Hopefully for them, I'm the minority.

Hey...all that fast food junk food is slowly killings us...many of us are gonna get some sort of cancer or massive strokes & heart attacks.

A little sexual innuendo should be the last of our worries...lol...

So if you're uptight and live in Singapore the ad should really annoy you.

Well, since I've never stuck a **** in my mouth I couldn't tell you which one "just taste's better". Don't think I want to find out so I'll take a pass on this one.
I love how BK feels that they are completly unreasponsible for the ad because it was done by a Singapore ad agency for the foreign market.
I bet David Carradine scarfed down a couple of these before hangin' with the hookers.

I want to also add that I'm all for this OVERT SEX (i.e. not subtle)
kind of advertising if that's what a company wants to attempt to be
funny or hip...it's just that I prefer that if it happens to be for an
everyday chain resturaunt that is part of the American family fabric
(like BK is as far as I'm concerned) that they reject it and leave
it be for HOOTERS or a place like it....otherwise, COME on
