Pixar does a personal screening of "Up" for a dying girl

And she died about 7 hours later.

Pixar grants girl’s dying wish with home viewing of 'Up' | pixar, up, movie, home, show, girl, cancer, die, huntington, beach - Entertainment - OCRegister.com

Am I wrong in thinking that many studios would not do this (and then shun off publicity afterward). It makes me think that maybe Pixar makes consistently good movies because they have good people in there.

breaks my heart. can't imagine being the rep who brought the movie over. That would change your life, I think.

"How shines a good deed in a weary world." That was very nice and damned classy.

              Very bittersweet stuff.

Bless that beyond brave little girl....

And as far as Pixar is concerned...they have always been all about class...their flicks have proven that...time and time again.

As the father of to young girls (6 and 12), I can't imagine losing them at such a early age. God bless Pixar for this small, unselfish act for a final wish, JOHN

This is one of the saddest stories i've ever read...and all the more reason why i love Pixar so much....for them to go above and beyond like that is just awesome and the best part is that it wasn't for publicity or anything because they couldn't even be reached for comment...it was simply out of the kindness of their heart and Pixar just rules even more to me now. God bless that poor family....

"Colby couldn't see the screen because the pain kept her eyes closed so her mother gave her a play-by-play of the film."

That line alone tears me the hell up. How much pain was that girl in before she went anyway?
