the first 3 were the best of course, sure part 4 wasn't as good but still entertaining until the last 20 minutes
That being said TOD was my fave cause I watched it so much as a kid,but the Last Crusade has the best storyline to me,just because I love everything about the holy grail and the Knights Templar
I enjoyed them all. They were all farcical to begin with even raiders I mean the ark of the covenant come on!?!?!?
But they were a great ride and fantastic to watch in the theatre.
When I saw raiders and temple I was just a kid and thought they were amazing. As an adult meh not so much.
But you know what I took my seven year old son to the crystal skull and he loved it.
Indy was a new hero to him and I think that is what we forget. The movies are meant as an escape for an hour and a half,That's it.Just a little fun.
A chance to get away from reality.Eat some popcorn and cheer for the good guy.
I don't think they are created to intellectual stimulate you.
I am looking forward to the new one for sure.
Indy forever baby,indy forever!!!
I love the Indy films, and characters. This kind of thing is right up my alley entertainment wise, and despite the fact that Mutt seems to be stuck along for the ride, I'm looking forward to more. Raiders was one of the best films ever made in my book. Last Crusade was great too. Didnt care for ToD, but it still has its moments...Same with Crystal Skull...has its moments.
Hopefully the rust has been knocked off this franchise now, and the next one will be more in line with Raiders and Crusade.
I will admit if the next film has a fight to the death duel between Short Round and Mutt, and neither survive, my feelings wont be hurt!
I didn't mind the last one. Didn't think it was great; but it killed some time. I think the problem with an Indy film is that it's one of them series that have been cloned so many times it's tough to come up with a new take on things, and therefore ANYTHING you do is gonna seem old hat. Part of why the first one was such a big deal is 'cos nobody had done anything like it for almost 40 years.
Agreed. And I don't think the movies were quite as good as our memories of them, overall. But that's pretty much everything isn't it.
