I agree... surely there's some other way for these companies to make "market penetration."

I saw the Land of the Lost trailer one night while out watching "Crank"... a movie that works hard for it's R rating and very much aimed at adults. The LOTL trailer was full of the movies sex-jokes, profanity and the scene where the ape-guy fondles the girls breasts.

The next day, I took my kids to see "Monsters vs Aliens". The LOTL trailer came on... no profanity, sex-jokes or fondling. It was absolutely geared to entice kids to come see the movie.

Now I'm not a prude at all, but I think that this sucks for familys. If some parent takes their kid to see this movie because of the way it has been marketed to kids... that's just money-grubbing, anything for a buck WRONG.

I pity the parent that gets sucked into this Hollywood scam. Just rubbed me wrong, that's all.
