Help with battery clean up

Cleaning up some toys and discovered they were stored with the batteries in them. From what I've seen the batteries have cracked open.

How should I go about getting this stuff clean in the safest manner possible?

It's acid use baking soda to counter act the acid. Make it into a paist and use a tooth brush.
