    Any Windows MovieMaker Experts Here?

I am trying to make a movie set to "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart with pictures of my daughters.

I got the song off Rhapsody but when I import it to the movie maker, it says the song's volume is too low. It does not show the graphics of the song in the timeline and when I hit play, there is no sound.

When I play the song on my media player, it sounds fine.

    Any help?

Does Rhapsody have some kind of block on it to keep me from using it in a movie maker?

What format is the song? I've found a lot of movie making programs are REAL finicky about the audio format. The ones I've used don't care for mp3s (you've got to monkey with them or use an add-on to the program) and I've used a few that won't deal with mp4s at all.

This song is a mp3. My WMM will not even recognize mp4's.

Hmmmm.... it SHOULD work, but mp3s do weird things sometimes. (I think apple actually owns the format, so they sometimes make it minimally compatable with Microsoft stuff.) If you're using the stripped down version of MovieMaker you might need to download an mp3 filter.

I don't use MovieMaker, but I had a similar problem with Audacity; I needed the LAME add on for mp3s. Hopefully somone with some actual knowledge pipes in soon. (I'm doing my best; but my knowledge is pretty much all "push buttons and see what happens" based.)

Nah, it's for editing audio tracks. I needed to chop down and reformat an audio track for another program.

I'm pretty sure it is the MP3 thing. I've had similar problems. Look on CNET for a freeware program called CDex. It will allow you to make .wav files out of your mp3 and then it should allow you to import into moviemaker. The only problem is that a .wav file can sometimes be as much as 20 meg once converted.
              It's all good!

Rhapsody must have something attached to it, because I join Frostwire and downloaded it and it worked fine. It is also a mp3.

The video came out awesome (made me tear up). You want to make a great present for your wife, get a bunch of pictures of your kids and set them to "Forever Young".
