    Spiderman 4 rumors debunked

Well rumors of Spiderman 4 having Morbius have been proven incorrect. Producers are saying they have just now picked their villian and this one has a strong connection to New York City. They also say fans will REALLY appreciate this choice. In my eyes they've already said too much. I feel very confident who that will be... The Black Cat. Think about it. Mary Jane will be back, but in a limited capacity and there will be no wedding bells. Well you know there still has to be a "love interest" in there somewhere. I think the Black Cat changes that dynamic which many fans got very tired of after part 3. This gives Spidey a new, mysterious, girl and possibly opens the door for a second villian. I still feel like the Lizard will come out in this next venture as well. So those are my picks - The Black Cat as a new love interest/sub-villian and the birth of the Lizard. Here's the article...

    BLACK CAT?

    Okay.

True confession time....I think I'd enjoy just about any direction they went
    with Spidey's adversary(ies) for #4.

I just really like the Raimi/Maguire/etc. combo.

          NO VAMPIRES. NO WEREWOLVES.

          I'm kidding. Kidding.

Just was reminded of one of the recent Morbius/Spidey flick posts
that I found a bit odd

              BY THE WAY....

I've just decided THAT is the plot I'd enjoy most in Spidey 4.

Sure I like about SEVEN other Spidey villains MORE
than Man-Wolf as far as powers/nostalgia....
              BUT
I freakin' love J. K. Simmons as JJJ.

It stands to reason that IF Man-Wolf was the villain
that Simmons' role would be even more interesting than usual.

                I actually agree with you.

                Naw,.. well yes I do,..
                But back to the Points...
JJJ IS Mr. New York,.. Based on Tom's Opening Statement in the Thread Being " The character having strong Connections to New York City" Just had me thinking a bit,.. Plus the IntroDuction of the character in Spidey 3.

I only Ask 1 thing of this Flick...
Give Dunst 5 Minutes or Less of Air Time.... Since they were so Hell bent on Bringing Her Back instead of the Re-cast... Other than the 1st one,.. Can't personally stand her in the 2nd or 3rd.

I would like to see Scorpion & Shocker one day in these Movies too.

It would be nice because of the Simmons JJJ role slant aspect
                    you and I agree upon--

but I fear Man-Wolf is too low on the pecking order of villains....
they shoehorned VENOM in 3 for a reason, ya know? ($$$$)

My guess is BLACK CAT only because of the "bad girl/good girl" aspect of her
and her being a love interest and all that...she can "beat the system" as
far as using more popular characters.

I'd also FINALLY put my chips on LIZARD being possibly incorporated too.

The reason I didn't bank on LIZARD in anticipation for 3 is that I kinda
KNEW they were REALLY considering VENOM and he was too popular not to
                    get a big shot there.

And now the VERY popular SANDMAN's out of the way now too.

VULTURE is more popular than most but almost relies on KINGSLEY
and Raimi coming to terms...and that doesn't seem to be a priority.

And I don't think KRAVEN, SCORPION, ELECTRO etc. can trump LIZARD
in the "smart $$$ choice" category. The Morbius/vampire theory
seemed pretty good too, I'll admit.

                    Just my thoughts

How they can make BLACK CAT trump the CATWOMAN legacy
seems impossible. It's like SHAZAM vs. SUPERMAN...c'mon
                      SHAZAM will never surpass Supes

                      i'm not saying the right actress/script couldn't
give BLACK CAT her moment in the sun...but it'll be tough
                      with CATWOMAN's textured history.

Yeah, I have to agree with Hector that personally I don't want the Black Cat either. But the producers got an earful after the Parker/Jane treatment in S3. So the idea they would think this new selection would 'really' make fans happy is, in my mind, a dead give away. This is the fourth installment and there has been no true love interest for Parker except Mary Jane. They toyed with it a bit with Gwen Stacy but I think the envelope will get pushed considerably with Part 4. It just seems destined to be the fate of this series. The Black Cat must rise to the big screen to test Parker's love for another woman. Just watch...

I liked Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen. Just bring her back.

Black Cat worked best as a plot device (she loves Spidey, doesn't care for Peter) not a character.

They didn't spell out "Black Cat" did they? A character with strong connections to NY could be the Lizard, given the urban legend about crocs in the sewers there.
