Anyone go to see Pixar's UP?

    Great movie!

I thought for sure this would be Pixar's first stinker but it actually turned out to be one of their better flicks.

The movie is appropriate for kids but without giving away any spoilers really isn't a kid's movie.

We saw it in 3-D and was impressed with the 3-D effects. Actually, first time I have seen a 3-D movie in the theater and it was great to hear the gasps when items came popping out of the screen.

Yeah it was amazing! It had me from the get go, I was choked up through out the whole movie. A great film and like you said it works on both kid and adult levels. I highly recommended it!

We're going to see it this weekend. Heard nothing but good things about it, but I thought it may be Pixar's first dud too. Glad to see I was wrong!

One of the best movies I've seen all year. Very family friendly...everyone will enjoy it. Great story, great "animation" - just really a feel-good, make-you-think kind of movie.

GREAT movies. Saw it yesterday with my kids (one 3years old the other 1 and a half) and they sat threw the whole movie. They even cheered at the end.

Waiting for the crowds to die down....I know it sounds evil, but I LOATHE sitting in a movie theater full of young' uns. Dont hate kids on the whole...just hate being surrounded by them.

Once again Pixar proves why it's so superior to Dreamworks.

Sounds evil? Being in a theatre full of loud-mouthed kids?
                    How could that be ideal?
                    Bless your PC heart.

I heard great things about this movie from friends by the way

It's amazing. When will Pixar miss? They're on an unbelievable roll.

All movie companys could be "on a roll" if they just follow 1 rule....if it sucks, dont make it!!!

I have no basis for saying this...but I'm betting PIXAR has
lucked out and has a tight system there that excludes
too many "cooks in the kitchen" when it comes to
                          project production decisions.

Saw it in 3D and enjoyed it quite a bit. Read somewhere that it is better to see the standard version of the film (non-3D) because the colors are so much better. Have no idea myself - enjoyed the 3D aspect but have no idea if I was somehow missing something. Pretty gutsy to make a movie about a cranky old man and a gung-ho boy scout. Sounded awful - turned out great!

I think Pixar's weakest movie is "A Bug's Life", and it's by no means bad and much better than any other non-Pixar CGI movie, except for the first Shrek and Kung Fu Panda maybe. It was their sophomore effort, so maybe they had a slight "sophomore slump".
