Yes,they are "based" on true stories.Accurate hell no but based on certain details.
Chainsaw was actually based on a couple stories but mainly on Ed gains, his human furniture and female skin suit. How ever he lived in the 30's I think and the texas chainsaw massacre was supposed to take place in the late sixties and used chainsaws of which ed didn't use.But based on...LOL
Ed gains the movie was way more accurate a portrayal of the man.

    Still a good watch...

Cadillac records,I just watched it last week that one is pretty good.
Chuck berry, muddy waters and etta james.

Monster, yeah that was good but again very inaccurate as after the movie came out she changed her story again and said they were all innocent and she just killed them all for their cash.
The chick was messed up.But great movie non the less.

Another great movie is "Fire in the sky"
about the dude that gets abducted by aliens.Fantastic movie, based on a true story.

              Blair Witch Project (just kidding)

I agree with most everything on the list.

The one biggie missing is "Brian's Song"....that is probably one of few movies that can make a grown man cry.

                We Were Soldiers was amazing!

Man On The Moon. Jim Carey really, really put Kaufman before himself in his role.

catch me if you can had a great early 60's vibe and an interesting story to go along with it.
in wonderland you could really see what a scumbag john holms was.
it seems like the most original ideas hollywood comes up with are real stories with artistic license of course

I wash shocked by how good he was as Kaufman. I actually would have pegged someone like Ed Norton for this part given the other "highbrow" credits involved.
