I'm a HUGE Stern fan...I love him and his entire supporting cast.
He's very un-PC...but it's all done in jest...the guy has a good heart...and he is a GREAT father...his daughters love him to death...and he protects them like a pitbull.
I've always been a fan although I haven't heard him since he moved to satelite. Anyone subscribe to his on demand channel? I signed up about a year ago but there was such little content, it wasn't worth the $13 a month. Basically you could see everything on there in a few hours. Has it changed?
I am a serious hardcore fan, I can still remember those classic shows when Sam Kinison would come in with a posey of folks who have been hanging out all night doing god knows what and even though I don't advocate drinking and drugs, It made some of the best talk radio in history!
I of course picked up Sirius as soon as I herd the Stern show was moving over and actually took the day off for the first show! Anyone who might remember the staff and Howard left us all with revelations about themselves and would reveal what story was connected to what staff member on their first Sirius show….
I hate the same old rotation of regular radio and after a year of Sirius I purchased the life time subscription since it had some of the best music channels I have herd in a long time, no matter what your into there at least three channels per genre it’s really great! I am streaming the Stern show on my computer as I surf the Mego site, the daily show runs at least three times a day in case you miss it and many of the most talented classic Stern regulars have gotten an hour or two show here and there on the two channels that are for Stern and Stern related shows only!
I will truly be sad when my mornings are without Howard!

There is a lot more content now but I had to give it up myself, as much as I loved seeing a lot of the things I herd on the show which really were much better when you had the visual aspect of it, I mean the Artie fight was great radio but the multi angle views they captured were great on demand! Plus I don't care how good a hot woman on a sibian ride sounds on the radio the visual can't be beat!
Been a pretty big fan since about '95, when I listened to him everyday at this box factory I worked at in Toronto. A group of about 4 of us would listen to him on little radios with headphones.
we'd be plugging away at work, and when something really funny was said all four guys would simultaniously burst out laughing somewhere on the floor.
All time funniest person I ever heard on Howard Stern was Gilbert Godfried. I hated him until hearing him on Stern. Dirty dirty jokes. Totally blew my perception of him away.
I got to listen to a Bunch of his show & Skits on Sirus ...
It was really,.. really funny stuff. Makes you laugh so hard,.. you cry sometimes....
There were 2 Shows released,.. Roasts He did...I saw..
The 1st one was the Roast of Daniel Carver,.. the Wack Pack Dude from the KKK... & The 2nd Was the Roast of Artie Lang... Daniel Carver's Roast was way Funnier,... Both are really worth Watching for Stern Fans...
The introduction of Artie to the show was the best thing that ever happened imo,.. Never really a fan of Jackie,.. Most of the time,.. all the Dude did was Laugh at what was going on,.. Artie's A walking Joke,.. it's great..
I hated when Studdering John left the Show,.. & went to the Tonight show... That's Guy's interviews were so Damn Funny,.. & His Wife was Off the Hook !!!!
The other John,.. John the Studdier,... He had a Bit on Sirus,.. where Stern Gave him his own Show. It was the Funniest thing I had ever Heard. He always tried to Discuss serious Matters,.. then Joe Blow over here would call in & Tell Him to go F himself.
Sulu Joined the cast too,.. as Stern's Anouncer ... That guy is so full of his own Awesomeness,.. it's great.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

I liked Jackie but Artie is waaaaaay funier! Jackies actual role on the show was pretty self explanitory "Jackie The Jokeman" what he would do is write jokes off the top of his head depending on the topic Stern was on at any given time, but your right about him laughing all the time, he would actually yuck it up extra hard when Stern did something he just wrote.
Artie on the other hand can come in **** faced and we would get hours of laughter just from him trying to stay awake during the show!
Sulu was a greaaaaat addition to the show, the only downside is since he has been on Stern everyone want's to work with him again and he has no time to come back on the show, but when he's there it's radio gold!!!
Yeah, I like Artie but I do miss them playing Jackie's hearty laugh over segments of bad news from Robin
Robin: "A bus of nuns and a bus of girl scouts collided and exploded into flames, killing everyone within a mile"
Jackie: Bwaaa Haaa Haaaa Haaa (actually a sound bite playback)
That bad news was made up, of course, but you get the idea. I found myself laughing at bad news often during Robin's newscasts.
hehehehe, it was great fans would call in talking about"jackie went way over the line on this one" when it was really Fred Norris playing the sound bite....
Classic Stuff!
Wish Grandpa Monster was still around he was another great guest!
