Cruise is 5' 7", and Katie Holmes is 5' 9"...she's three inches taller.

That photo looks like she's a seven footer, lol.

I think it's a combination of her wearing heels...and him having his right foot below the sidewalk....and the left knee slightly bent.

However, I don't get all the hate for Cruise (aside from his Scientology, lol)...the guy is 5' 7...a bit on the short side...but he's not a midget.

He's filthy rich, good-looking, he's in great shape, and has dated some of the hottest women on Earth.

Sounds like envious talk to me here.

He is supposed to be just under 5'8" while she is only listed at 5'9". Now he is stepping on the street, whil her 3-4" heels are up on the sidewalk. That said, they always look a bit askew when they appear together.

I'm on this realization thing right now, that the media looooooves to tear down the people that they have built-up. Tom Cruise is a prime example. If you've been out there getting "good press" for too long, they will wait for you to couch-jump and BAM!!!! it's time to take you down a peg and make some money for them on your way down.

Then, all the stuff that was true all along, becomes convenient to point out. Tom Cruise didn't just wake up short after Oprah Winfrey or The Today Show. He was short all along. Tom Cruise, Scientologist...cool in an alternative, "that's just his bag, dude" kind of way until he jumped on Oprah's couch. Now, he's all of a sudden kind of ******y?

Not lecturing anyone here, just find the media's cyclical approach very weird........let's build them up and hope like hell that someday they will fall. Nothing all-of-a-sudden changed about Tom Cruise. He was a weird, little dude, nice by most accounts, who happened to be a pretty good actor with a knack for being in good movies. The Hollywood Press just chose to play up the good until it was time to expose him for what they now want him to be.

By the way, anyone seen this week's Newsweek? You're next Oprah. All of sudden it's time to point out that you are not really an expert on anything. Last year, Oprah was thought of as being just short of GhandiJesusEinsteinGuttenburg.
