Bruce is awesome. He appeared at the theater here to intro his movie, and to do a Q&A after. He was hilarious.

When he hosted the Evil Dead Trilogy here, he intro'd each film and took questions after each. I think it was 8hrs long... He signed afterwards and probably did 30mins of Intro before the movies started.

I had never seen all 3 until then.

You are so lucky. I am a huge fan and have not had the chance to meet him yet. Man I wished I lived close to Florida right now.

That is too bad. It would really be great if people signing their autographs would at least "try" and make them legible for their fans and others to read in years to come. Especially for the fans that are paying good money to have something signed. I would not think that would be asking for a whole lot on their part.

Yeah, here's how he signed my book (damn, that was almost seven years ago, time sure flies!):

When my father saw him, the whole main cast of the first EVIL DEAD were at the convention actually, and they all reenacted much of the film live on stage. They even pulled some lucky guy with a camcorder right from the audience to videotape it. Damn, I wish I saw that. At least my father got the whole cast to sign my Evil Dead "Book of the Dead" DVD set for me.

Geez! You were not exaggerating one bit when you said that he just basically scribbled his name for an autograph. It is still cool that you have it though none the less. It sure beats not having anything I suppose. Hopefully, in years to come some autograph expert will be able to recognize that it is the real deal when and if someone ever decides to part with it down the line. Thanks for sharing that picture.

I must admit, I've seen his autograph, and it looks like a 90 year old blind guy with Parkinsons tried to make the "Zorro" sign and expiring as he's putting his pen to paper.

He must be an autograph forger's wet dream....

Hope you have fun and get a better auto than that. I can undertsand when someone's signing for free but when you're being charged I'd expect something halfway legible. One pattern I've noticed is that female signers tend to put more effort overall than male, Legibility is usually a given and they seem to be more given to adding a tag line, character name etc to the autograph.

Yes, I have read that great book. It was sort of like his old website in print. Get it. Read it.

He also, on his old website, had a LONG RANT about the Stupidity of Autographs and how meaningless and stupid they were. So if he signs a scribble as an Autograph, I am not surprised. I'll try to find the one I got.

But he had a whole page devoted to "I'm not signing. I will watch your little Bobby cry if you ask and I say "No," so don't ask."

But apparently he changed his mind... He didn't charge me for "Auto's auto" he was just doing what he was told/hired to do.

Except for that, I like him very much. As I said, I tried to write a project for him.

This page of his website is similar to how he had a page up on "I don't do autographs" fyi.

His old site was HUGE. Pages and pages of ranting on stuff. I remember when I read his book thinking "I read this on his website."

Good for him. I like his sense of humor. God bless him. He has done well.
