AS long as it involves a Diet Coke, then cool. I actually lost the weight after giving up sugar. When I learned of my diabetes, I went cold turkey on sweets. No candy, cookies, cake, pie, nothing. The only bad thing sugar-wise I've eaten in 11 months is an ice cream cone on my wedding anniversary. You'd be surprised how much energy you gain by not consuming sugar.
I'm still a fat tub of crap, just a downsized container.

Congrats Dave. I admire anybody who can set and achieve a goal!
Fighting a similar struggle myself...my biggest problem isnt losing it, its gaining it all back right away!!!
Hope you dont suffer the same fate! Having an actual workout plan probably helps big time. I find walking works the best for me too, mainly because Asthma rules out a lot of other options like jogging. When winter hits though, I just dont walk as much, gain it back, and then start all over again in the spring!Leave a comment:

That's awesome Scott! It's not easy. Well, it's not HARD to accomplish, it's just not easy to make oneself do what one needs to do. So congrats to you. Let's celebrate at Megomeet with a double quarter pounder and biggie size fries!

Very cool Dave. You and I dropped about the same amount since last Mego Meet, though I started out way heavier than you. I was at freakin 305 and am now about 245 or so. I've still got a ways to go, but that's cool to hear about your personal success.
