Wow! That is certainly an enormous lifestyle change and an incredible amount of willpower.

Congrats! I've been teaching a fitness oriented kickboxing class for a few years now, and I can honestly say given the folks that I see come in and out of the gyms I work out at on a regular basis, that you are a very very rare case indeed when it comes to the small percentage that can turn things around so radically.

Keep up the good work. You are an inspiration to us all.

That's great, Dave. I wish I could lose about 15-20 lbs. I've lost about 3 in the past 2 weeks. I'm just trying to take it one day at a time without too many slip ups.

Thanks all. Felt a little weird posting it, but thought if I could do it (after years of thinking it impossible) than anyone can do it.

Dang, Dave, that's an amazing difference!

As far as feeling weird about posting this, don't. To anyone here that has done or wants to do the same thing, post away. This kind of stuff deserves some recognition and you have a crowd of folks here who will always want to share in your success and happily acknowledge it with a, "Way to go!!!!!!".

That pic is great Dave---is that weighttraining workout
                  easily described/mapped out?

I know I'll never do it, but on the offchance me or anyone here would wanna
                  take that challenge....

Anyways, again, great job and great pic!

                        DAVE!

Feel the love, man! That is GREAT!

My wife has lost a lot of weight walking. She works in a building on a pretty steep hill and walks at lunch and on breaks. It is uphill on one side and down on the other. It is a good place to walk. We also have an Elliptical at home that I used to use watching Battlestar Galactica and she uses when she watches her favorite show, the Biggest Loser. That is a great show.

Walking rules! Walking outdoors rules more according to Dr. Weil.

But thank you for posting. I'm glad to hear that you are "better," even though I didn't know you were "worse."

That really is incredible. I've been stuck for a long time myself. Between you and my wife, I'm going to have to do something now. I need to lose 30lbs. I may start teaching Kenpo (Karate) again if I can find a facility and a few students.

But really, we are obviously all Glad You Posted.

You are such a cool guy. I'm glad you are healthier and happier and have the Tremendous Lifelong Satisfaction that you accomplished this amazing goal. Especially as you said, you thought it was impossible when you set the goal.

Now, you should change your icon to The Hulk. Shrek is not appropriate anymore perhaps. The Hulk is green. I couldn't think of another Green guy.

And good job on the Arms. I PMd toys2cool. Will there also be a Gun Show at MegoMeet?

You need to make a Dave McC Custom on a Type 3 body or something.

If you guys don't mind, could you type up your routine and post it? I know it was walking daily and a weight routine daily, but it worked Very Well. I was going to suggesting typing it and taking it to MegoMeet but you could post it here?

I'm sorry to go on and on, but really, this is a powerful story that seems to have helped others already and I hope you got lots of good energy from us because you posted it.

Thank you for everything, including taking care of yourself and encouraging us all to do the same by virtue of achieving your goal.

Truly great news. I must also plug Cobb Salads. I dropped 10lbs a few years go by first quitting fast food and soda and then eating more salads. Cobb Salads rule. Mc D's has a decent one, I'll suggest you consider celebrating with that.

And because I haven't met you and that first picture was a long shot of you behind a table, can you post a Before and After pic in the same post? For comparison. I mean, it is an inspiring story. I'm stuck myself and have fallen off my routine but I will pick it back up today. I have a great routine on my total gym and I've written too much so -

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! God bless you and your success! I'm sure your family is happy as well.

I didn't dive in over my head and start going to the gym right away. I figured if it was too hard I wouldn't keep at it. So I just started walking 3 miles a day, and taking a page from Derek (Flynne) making little changes. Taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Buying skim milk instead of 2%. Just little things. I did cut out all fast food, but otherwise I ate the same stuff, but not as much. So on Pizza night, I stopped at 2 pieces instead of going back for 2 more. I thought I was still hungry, but after walking away from the table I found I wasn't. We all know what we should or shouldn't eat. It's basically common sense. If I wanted a snack, I had one, but I went for a tomato or some kind of vegetable instead of junk. The first 45 pounds or so dropped off that way, and at a rate of about 2 pounds a week. Then it got cold outside, too cold to walk, so I joined a gym, but didn't know what I was doing. That's when I hit up Damian.

What he outlined for me was extensive, yet pretty simple. It's what he does for a living, so I wont just post his work, I'll leave it up to him to comment on that if he so chooses. I dropped the weight on my own, but I was loosing muscle weight as well. I replaced that and built it up thanks to his help. Still got a ways to go on that side of things, but I find that time at the gym after a long day of work is kind of like therapy.

Thanks for the info Dave----personally, I have
pretty good eating habits and I walk a lot
...I had to do that stuff to stay at this kinda condition
---which might be described as "average"
                              or "slightly overweight".

The rest of it---basically the part you described
as being "stuck" is the hard part for me.

I don't think I could ever commit to an exercise ritual.

I guess, if I ever get desperate I may hit up t2cool privately
                              for additional info.

Again, I commend you on your dedication---

Congrats Dave. To me, this is better news for a fellow Mego collector than finding a MIB Aquaman vs Shark or something of the like. We owe it to our families (esp kids!) and loved ones to be healthy and live long lives, IMO. -Greg
