Teach, I think "Life is Beautiful" counts under Tigger's definition, because it is based in Nazi Germany. I don't think it was based on an actual event, although I could see how a parent might do something like that to help his/her child survive. It was a very well-done movie.

I have to say that my favorite "historical" flick, and one of my all-time favorite movies in general, would be "Stalag 17." If it's on TV, I have to sit and watch it.
An honorable mention goes to "The Horse Soldiers" or anything else starring William Holden and/or John Wayne set in the Civil War.

      Loved that one, too.
This movie was great. Really showed the insides of the start of the computer age. Loved it when it told how he got Xerox to practically give him the design for what is now the computer mouse. Shows how big companies lack vision.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

            A Knight's Tale
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
