That is very interesting. How do you rule that? If the batter can switch and the pitcher has to declare: advantage batter. If they both can switch once: advantage pitcher. There is no "even" scenario unless both have to declare. Is it a batter's game or a pitcher's game?

Greg Harris was a pitcher for the Red Sox in the late 80's was either arm also. He had the same style glove, it could be worn on either hand. I had a kid I faced when I was in Little League that could throw with either hand, but used two different gloves. One on the ball manager that knew the rules caught him though when he would go out to give him the new glove it's considered a trip to the mound. Two of those in the same inning and you have to pull the pitcher. After pulling the switch the manager went out to exchange the gloves again and the alert manager consulted with the umpire and they had to remove him from the game in the second inning. They had already used their other starter in a previous game for the maximum innings, so they had to go to the #3 and ended up losing in a single elimination tournament. Gotta read your rule book when ya coach little league.

He came upon a switch hitter, after 5 minutes of them both switching, the ump made the batter decide, but since that happened, MLB made a ruling, the pitcher must decided first.

My wife and me are both right handed but have lefties on both sides of our family.

My oldest son is a leftie.
My daughter is right handed.
My youngest son oddly enough is right handed but is left footed in soccer. He can almost kick a ball with his right as hard as his left but given the choice; he has more power and comfort kicking with his left.

I don't think it is genetically passed. I was the only lefty in my family. Both me and my wife are lefties, but both of our daughters are righties.

I believe it has to do with the more dominant side of your brain.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it is. Right handed is a dominant trait and left handed is recessive so it isn't unusual for you and your wife to both be lefties and have two right handed children. However, I'd say there is a better than average likelihood that one or both of your daughters will have a left handed child.

My father was left handed as is my sister. My wife's brother and grandmother are left handed. Out of three children, we have one leftie, one rightie, and then the odd ball who writes and throws a ball with his right hand but will kick a ball with his left.
