is King of the Hill officially cancelled and done ?

Last Sunday Fox aired the Canadian family episode.

I gather this episode was new.

Most other shows have already played their season finales this past week.

Does this make this past episode the last of the series ?

If so, it certainly didn't feel like a "final episode"

They purposely wrote it like that because they didn't know (at the time the finale was written/recorded) whether the show might be picked up. They'd been cancelled before, only to be renewed later. And there was talk that ABC might be interested in taking over the show.

Since then I guess ABC has passed on Hill, but they're producing Judge's new project, "The Goode Family".

I just can't believe that they finally started showing it in 16:9 HD not long before planning to cancel it.

I know Medium and Earl got cancelled. Kinda liked Medium but it was a little far fetched on some of the storylines. I know Joss Whedons Dollhouse got renewed. Guess they're hoping it catches on like Buffy did in the second season. Said they had a lot of hits on the site checking it out after it aired and that played in the decision. I think they are moving the time slot. It's on Fridays which is tough but I'll grab the first season on dvd when it's released. Eliza Dushku alone is worth that.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Ha! Can you believe I've never seen any of these episodes? Seriously.

Medium will be back; it was just picked up by CBS.

I'm going to miss King of the Hill

It seems to be the only cartoon out there that's not over the top and overly dumb.

There are a few more episodes yet to air,
if not on Fox next year, then most likely included with the final season DVD release.

Rumors another network will pick up King of the Hill.. Mike Judge has a new cartoon out and that network may use King of the Hill as a intro.

NBC cancels 'Earl' and 'Medium'; CBS axes 'Unit'

My name is earlBelt-tightening broadcasters continue to take hard-line stances against older, modestly performing shows.

CBS has canceled long-running Sunday night military action-drama "The Unit" and NBC is putting an end to Thursday night comedy mainstay "My Name Is Earl" and thriller "Medium." The moves come after late-in-the-game saves for relatively new fan favorites like NBC's "Chuck" and Fox's "Dollhouse,"

Sources also say there's some potential silver lining: "Earl" studio 20th TV is talking to Fox and ABC about one of the networks possibly picking up the comedy.

ABC in particular has been receptive to picking up rival shows, having taken "Scrubs" after NBC canceled the series last year and committing to take on "The New Adventures of Old Christine" should CBS cancel the series (there's still no official word on "Christine," though ABC entertainment president Steve McPherson said this morning that last he heard CBS was renewing the show).

Both "Earl" and "The Unit" ran four seasons; "Medium" for five. "Earl" averaged 4.5 million viewers and a 1.7 adult demo rating this season; "The Unit" pulled 9.6 million viewers and a 2.4 rating; "Medium" had 7.2 million viewers and a 2.2 rating.
