I liked it fine, but always preferred Family Ties which came on next at 8:30. And then of course Cheers at 9!

I didn't care for the show back in the 80s and 25 years later i still don't like it, I have nothing agianst Cosby as i like Fat Albert as a kid but the Cosby show to me was a highly overrated show and now TV LAND plays the show all night long at times and i wish the tapes would wear out so they can never be seen agian. The Cosby show and Scrubs are tied as the worst shows every made

I like almost everything Cosby did in the 60's/70's, but I never liked The Cosby Show in the 80's.

Haven't seen the Cosby show forever but I do remember liking it.

Cosby's standup is hilarious...I especially like "Bill Cosby, Himself"

I know the actress who played Rudy was on some show that my kids watch ( I think it is called "You're so Raven" or something like that and they also said she was part of a pretty popular band).

Your confusing Rudy (Keisha Knight-Pulliam) with Olivia (Raven Symone). Olivia was brought in towards the end (shark jumping: child added) when Rudy and the others weren't cute anymore.

Raven-Symone is the star of "That's So Raven" and was a former Cheetah Girl...

The show definitely got unfunny after a few seasons. And yes, I couldn't stand Raven on the show. I hate "precious" child actors. You know the ones who deliver lines like they're adults.

As a kid, I studied Comedians closely and Bill Cosby was no exception. I thought his stand-up stuff was great.

A lot of those early episodes (along with Fat Albert) were based on his stand-up routines and as such, they were fun. One could recognize the bits that the scenes were playing out. However, both of those shows outpaced the stand-up and wore thin. In total, not a fan of The Cosby Show, but there were bits of genius in the early stuff that I can't dismiss.

I grew up with my dad tormenting me with "The Chicken Heart." never found much of that humor on the show though...

I think he is great. Loved watching him in I Spy, his Cosby show from the early 70's, et al. My wife and I just saw him in concert last November and it was one of the best things I have ever gone to. I can see where some folks wouldn't have a thing for his style, but I think most of what he does hits a chord with me.
                                It's all good!
