Did you guys read where reporters from the Inquirer signed Brook Shields' mom outta the home she's in? nobody knew where she was the cops found them in a restaurant down the road conducting an interview -
That's pretty much what I was thinking.
Sex, violence, etc. it all sells.
In Farrah's case it's a former swimsuit model/actress afflicted with cancer...
apparently at death's door.
"Celebrity" "Sex symbol" "Death"----that's like a journalistic hat trick.Leave a comment:

Journalism crossed the line on day 1 and the people who buy it, watch it, sponsor it all crossed the line hand in hand singing happy songs.Leave a comment:

There are, apparently no lows to journalism, and to people's obsession with "sensational news".
I wonder how a journalist would feel if his wife was dying, and people went through his trash for "interesting info".

The Farrah Fawcett Death Watch!

OK. I know there is another thread somewhere about her but I wanted to speak on a different level.
Isn't journalism taking a major low? I mean....originally, they paid some schmuck who worked at the hospital that stole her records and sold them to the Enquirer for 50 grand.
Now every channel news reporter is covering the "death watch" waiting for her to die like some kind of media circus. If this was my mom or a loved one, I would go postal on someone. I think Ryan O'Neil is a big ****** bag and enough is enough!
Please step back!
My Grandmother died of cancer and it was close family members. Nobody talked about a "death watch" like it was some kind of god damn three ringed circus. This makes me ticked off and upset as hell.
I think this is offensive and sometimes the media takes things a little to far.
The death watch? When does journalism cross the line?Last edited by Cosmicman; May 18, '09, 11:14 AM.Tags: None
