As for Pippi Longstockings, a local channel used to run that mini-series over and over again saturday mornings....grew to hate it, and avoided the other versions of the character at all costs. Which is odd, because they used to force feed us Rocket Robin Hood, Spiderman, Max the 2000 year old mouse, and Swiss Family Robinson as well, but I still watch those when they come on.

I have some Pippi post cards I grabbed in Germany, I used to watch those movies on Channel 2 some Saturday afternoons. They were wonderfully hypnotic.

But seriously, I think the 1980's Pippi (Tami Erin) was actually too cute and fresh faced (not to mention a little too old). Pippi was supposed to be a little rough around the edges.
