Worst fashion of the last 30 years.

I was thinking about all of the fashions and trends that have come and gone in the last 30 years and here is my list of some of the worst.

    1. Mullett haircuts- What the heck were people thinking! These were the worst haircuts ever. Joe dirt definately proved that.

    2. 70's bellbottom pants-Boy they were big at the bottom. Looking back I kinda cringe when thinking about my mother making me wear these kinds of pants.

    3. Leisure suits- Very ugly, big collars. My uncle had a lime green one that he thought he looked great in but dang, thinking back, he looked like a gaudy popsicle.

    4. Michael Jackson multi- pocket red jackets- Not too sure why people thought these were cool. What does one need 38 pockets for?

    Any others?

Everything mentioned was cool at some point in time. Someone once said, "Fashion is something so ugly that they need to change it every several years."

To me, the mullett is the worst. What were people thinking. I saw someone about a month and a half ago with a big time mullett. Billy Ray would have been proud!

I agree and I think most people will admit and even fondly remember their fashions don'ts of teh past EXCEPT

I am sure that once the truly worst fashion statement goes away no-one will admit to wearing it....

Pants that hang down below your but.

Only the truly depraved could have started this and only the truly pathetic could have followed suit.

in the future this same group will not only stop wearing this but also deny ever having dressed this way and make deragtory remarks toward anyone who does

(sorry to offend those of you wearing the baggie drawer showing folks out there)

I also agree with the baggy below the waist pants. I've seen some teenagers wear them about halfway down to their knees and basically limp because they can't walk right. I never understood why it is considered cool to have your underwear hanging out.

The other annoying one today is jeans that are already pre-ripped. My teenage son buys these and I tell him that my mom would have given me some major greif over getting holes in my jeans and would have promptly thrown them out (I'm feeling really old).

Crocs are also hideous. Everyone in my family has a pair except me. I think 10 years from now, they will look at them and wonder what they were thinking.

                        Some other fashions

Docksiders-Wouldn't be caught dead wearing these again.

Men's Speedos-I don't care how ripped your body is, it just looks awful. 99% of men I see wearing these should not be.

Flock of Seagulls hairdos...almost as bad as the mullet, not quite but almost. For females, ratted hair.

Jams-I'm talking about the loud in your face colors from the 1980's that could almost blind someone in their tracks

Cordoroy shorts-I wore a lot of these but don't get the concept now. Aren't cordoroy's made for cooler weather so it seems to defeat the common sense purpose.

Shorty short shorts for sports-Chris Cooley from the Washington Redskins wore these during training camp to bring some attention to himself and it certainly made the local news...let's just say it wasn't very positive

Any suit or tuxedo that is a color other than black, grey, or blue tones. I wore I white tux to my senior prom with an aquamarine tie and cumberbund...even had a mullet to go with it...not a pretty sight. My older brother had the fluffy puffy tuxedo shirt....glad I wasn't old enough to wear tuxedo's in the '70's.

                        Plaid pants for boys/men-Again another 70's thing....oof.

I agree- Jams were hideous. They were basically fluorescent capri pants.

Along the lines of the MC Hammer pants and Z Cavaricci's that were already mentioned, let's not forgets Skidz and Zubaz pants. They were both ridiculously baggy with hideous colors and designs.

Today's urban youth wear their baseball caps with a perfectly flat brim. They usually leave on the little hologram sticker and price tag as well. Furthermore, they don't care what team is on the hat. They wear the hat whose color best matches the rest of their outfit.

I do as a matter of fact. I will post it if some of you post pictures of some of your worst fashion pics from the past.

Mine is particularly embarassing so I'm not going first.
