'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
usually, I look at this day as a big excuse to drink...well it turns out
that the 2nd, the 6th and the 7th are all turning out to be drinking days
so I'm gonna have to ignore Cinco De Mayo booze-wise---too many
"drinking days" too close together!
Happy day everyone!
PARTY!
um...I mean....
FIESTA!
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix
It's funny, but in Mexico...Cinco de Mayo is a mid-size holiday...popular...but not the number one holiday.
The BIG one down there is 16 de Septiembre (16 of September)...that's Mexico's independence day...the entire country goes crazy with that one.
But I can see why Cinco de Mayo is more popular here in the States, and rightfully so...because Mexico's independence day should be celebrated only in Mexico, not in the USA.
Cinco de Mayo has a thing both countries can appreciate, the French getting their butts kicked, lol.
I shouldn't laugh though, my paternal grandfather was half French...so it was a good thing the French invaded Mexico back then, lol.

Hey---no wonder you're a history buff

Today's my 2nd wedding anniversary. And no, we didn't plan for it to be on Cinco de Mayo, it's just the day that worked out best to have everyone at my aunt's house(which is where the wedding was held).
Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?
