There is nothing the p***** me off more than someone that would beat an innocent animal for anything except self defense.

I just don't want to believe the crap that goes on regarding this kind of stuff. I see it on a more regular basis more often than not these days. People are losing it when it comes to beating poor innocent animals. You would never see these losers stand up to some one else that they know would pulverize their worthless ace in the ground. I am with T2C here. Let me at that jerk wad!!! I understand that the economy is the pits for a lot of folks and that sucks. However, to take your anger out on an innocent animal is no excuse at all in my book. No matter what! period.

That's really REALLY obsessive.... I'm surprised, and disappointed, that the dog didn't come back and bite the guy.

On a semi-related note: years ago I had the suckiest dog in the world. (A German Sheppard.... Max; 150lbs of hardcore wimp....) One day a friend came over and made the mistake of leaving his lunch.... two slices of pizza.... unsupervised for a second. Max got it, and he yelled at her. Not a lot, (it was pretty much just "HEY! My lunch!") but it scared the dog so bad she hid in the bathtub and wet herself. (This was a REALLY sucky dog.) He felt so guilty that every time he came over after that he brought the dog pizza. She used to try to sit on his lap after that. (All 150lbs....)

We discipline our dogs, but never out of anger, and never a beating. Animal abuse freaks me out, and I'm likely to respond in a non-buddhist and socially inappropriate manner.

I think I'd made a lousy SPCA officer. I'd probably beat to death the first person to abuse an animal. I loathe people that use a position of power to mistreat others (human, animal of vegetable).
I'm not a violent man, but this pushes all my buttons to go into berserker mode!

But just the other day, in my neighbourhood, I saw that somebody had ripped the branches of a whole row of trees. Looked like a bomb hit them.
Vandalizing the objects that produce our oxygen is not OK!
