Anyone have a five guys burgers in there area?

One opens near me so a friend and I checked it out. They only make Burgers, Hot dogs and fries from fresh potatoes.

So, we don't want to go overboard. We got a little bacon cheese burger and small fires each.

Well, here's what they do, they put together the burgers, wrap them in foil and put them in a paper bag. The fries come up (fresh cut, with the skin) and they have small and large styrofoam cups to put them in.

They put the fries in the cup and foil wrapped burgers in and then, they scoop up another bunch of fries and slip them over everything in the paper bag. They do this for all the orders with fries,

So, we got much more fries then we expected. The burger was fantastic, the fries were great too but unless you are feeling particularly gluttonous, one order will take care of a couple people

Anyway, the place was hopping when we came there and it's only been open a short time.

Yeah, they're really good. The potatoes are cooked in peanut oil, too.

The one thing I learned... I have to order the little hamburger, because the regular is two patties and that's way too much for me.

Poop, they have locations in Nashville and Louisville, so either way it's a 80-100 mile trip to check one out. Sounds like I'll need to plan a road trip

They opened one up near me a few months back. At first the line was out the door continually for a good month. Now everytime I pass by the place is dead. The burgers taste great but are kind of on the wet and greasy side. The fries they give you will feed 2-3 people. I'm not a big fan of their fries, everytime I've gotten them, they are always overdone.

They have some in our area, they do a steady business. My wife loves them, I'm OK on it.
              It's all good!

Used to be only one within driving distance of me. Now there are four and I see signs for two more. I'm a big French Fry fan, I love it when they just keep tossing more in the bag. Next time try the Cajuin seasonings. Another good burger place, anybody ever go to Red Robin??

I've never heard of them before either. I really do Love French Fries especially when there fresh cut. I drown mine in lots of ketchup, delicious.

They opened one up close by but never tried it,might have to after it after reading this.It use to be an Auther Treachers Fish and Chips for years before building the new building.Theres no good fast food burgers around here.Theres a couple small family places that make a burger good.I might go get one for lunch later in the week.

Never heard of it but sounds like they are expanding.
                        I'm surprised Jack-In-The-Box isn't nationwide yet, though.
                        Or are they now?

Jack in the box is great, thats the first place we went back to when we got into Pheonix last year. They got such a wide menu to cover what ever your hungry for.I think AZ is the closest one to us here in Ohio, bummer.Given the choice though I'll wait in line for 10 minutes for an IN AND OUT BURGER.

Me either. It does sound good though. Maybe it is because I am starting to get hungry right now and everything is starting to sound good. Well, almost everything. Let me rephrase that. LOL!!
