My Daughter Stuck a Book In Her Pants...

and started dancing around, singing this creepy song.

How Burger King has not pulled this commercial yet is beyond me. It is stranger than the Quizno's "Put It In Me" commercial:

This is so ... erm ... Asinine.

I see one of the YouTube comments claims it's racist. I agree. I think it stereotypes Sponges, and objectifies them....

        I have to agree---that doesn't seem right.

Good commercial, I guess--- but it's gonna (partially) be sold to an
        inappropriate audience.

        I don't think McDonald's would "go there'.

I love that commercial; Burger King really has a great advertisement team. I think the only way kids would find that humor sexist is if someone explained it to them that way.

No one is saying the commercial is "sexist"----just "inappropriate"
as it's mixing pre-school/gradeschool Spongebob with a rap about big butts
              and loving them.

Now after I've said that explanation, I can see where one would still disagree
---but I still feel the same way----it's not "family" fare IMO.

Now, the "racist" allegations----I'm not gonna touch THAT one

I had the misfortune of seeing that commercial earlier. It is really inappropriate for a kid's meal promotion. The mind boggles that they actually thought this was a good idea.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Now if you were to say "Using Spongebob Squarepants to sell my kids on fried, processed foods with no nutritional value annoys me" I'd be a little more inclined to agree with you.

I to have a mixed opinion of this commercial. I seen it yesterday for the first time. I kind of liked it because of the Sir Mix Al-Lot theme to it . However, I do not think that it is a real good promo for the kiddies. If I must see stuff like THAT please bring back the Paris Hilton/Hardees commercial that were banned. That I can "digest" a lot better.

I agree it is not appropriate marketing for children.

My six year old has done that, too, much to my chagrin. My boys love that commercial, not me. The sad thing is, I love the original song...so I can't complain.
