There are many and my list is long. I echo a lot of the shows that have already been listed. So I will not bother going there again. I just wanted to add something different to the mix as well. I thought that Fantasy Island was a pretty cool show for the time. The intro was pretty good to.
Airwolf is another that rocks! Amongst the many others that have already been listed.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009
The first thing I thought of was Batman (1966) so I'll go with that. I still love watching that piece of animation. Especially when they first come running at you.
WOW! So much to choose from! I won't go crazy, but I will narrow it down:
All Krofft show intros
'67 Spider-man
Mission Magic Cartoon
The Brady Bunch
The Partridge Family
Nanny & the Professor
The Mod Squad
Charlie's Angels
Hawaii 5-0
Mission Impossible
'60s Batman
Star Trek TOS and TNG
Chiller Theatre
Baby Talk
Underdog
And lots more!
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
It has got to be the Dukes of Hazzard. Hands down.
That intro has everything. Goes from TRUE Country Music, to explosions, fast cars, action, and even cheesecake! (Cousin Daisy)
I remember as a kid I would stare at music stores' shelves trying to see the guitar that was shown in that intro but never found anything quite like that one. As I grew up I found out it was a Fender Telecaster specially customized by Waylon Jennings. Ain't it funny that while I'm a hardcore Country music fan I never got that much into Waylon. I'm more a George Jones, Merle Haggard fan. But then again, you ask for my favorite TV intro... You can not beat The Dukes of Hazzard in that aspect!
