My Custom LSU Mike The Tiger Trailer

I started a new custom die cast (actually plastic) job. I haven't played with vehicle customs in over a year. Here is what I am making:

Luckily I bought two of the horse trailers. This first on is just a test. Cutting the plastic neatly with a Dremel is pretty hard. I am going to use 1/8" dowels as the bars:

Neat idea. What scale is that? Looks like you have your work cut out for you there. It is starting to get there though. Inch by inch is a cinch so they say.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

Too much space. Need more toys!

I say it is some where around 1:14 scale. The tires are 1 1/2" in dia., which would make the tires around 21" in dia in full scale(if I did my math correct)

OK, I hated the way the yellow one was looking, so I took it all apart, re-cut it with a different bit.

Meanwhile, I was working on the other one, wanted it to look like this:

It is all done but the decals and any accent paint:

OK, decided to dip into my vintage LSU decals and use one, plus borrow my daughter's purple glitter pen for highlights. Now just need the lettering and a 1:14 scale tiger:

The second one looks a lot cleaner since you did not have to deal with leaving a bar in the middle like the first one. How are you attaching the bars, 1/8" dowels? It is really looking good.

"Crazy Glue", one drop, place the dowel, and it does not move.

The first one (yellow one) I took back apart, removed the center support, and touched up the sloppy cut job with the bit I used on the gold one. It is pretty clean now. I will work on it tomorrow.

It takes me about an hour or two to do one now that I know how to do it (not including drying time)

Cool! That sounds good. Crazy Glue shoud definitely do the trick. I will await the new pictures on the first one. Thanks!

OK, I am calling the old style trailer complete:

I based it off this magazine cover:
