no probs coach! That CD is a must have for Beatle Fans. It was from their weekly radio show that ran in the 60's. You can hear how good they sounded live.......
Well... It was sort've live... These were songs that they recorded in the BBC Studios -- fully functional recording studios. And don't forget, back in those days recording a song was exactly that, they played instruments and sang all at once. I'll Be On My Way was a song John Lennon wrote for another band at the time, Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas. I think this is the only existing recording of John and the boys playing this tune.
90, Joe 90.... Great Shakes : Milk Chocolate -- Shaken, not Stirred.
I get a kick out of the "Hard Days Night" live version they did on the BBC sessions.
George Martin (who played the piano solo on the recording) was stuck in traffic and couldn't make it to the BBC session in time.
So the crafty DJ "dubs in" the piano solo. You can hear it being done. It goes live and to the "recording solo" and back to live. It was very crafty and genius for that time.
I listen to that once in awhile for a laugh.
