Any Arizona D'Backs fans out there

Just watching the game wondering if there are any other D'Backs fans out there tonight? My Mom and Brother are at the game tonight in beautiful, sunny AZ while I sit here in cold rainy Chicago wishing I was there.

Well if I had to root for a team it would be the hometown team and 2001 World Series champions but I'm not really into sports. Have been to one game, though. Nice stadium.
Yeah, it is beautiful here. That's why I moved here.

I was in 2001 when a local dude did color commentary for Fox. I've always thought he was a cool dude and he left here to go to Arizona, so I took a vested interest.

That just happened to be the year they won the World Series.

All things considered, Baseball Fan-wise, you're better off in Chicago. (weather aside)
      You have two teams!

As a snow bird that lives in Arizona during the long cold winters I am kind of partial to the D'Backs in that way. I have been to some of their games, own some of the jerseys and other memorabilia. My real home team of course is the St. Louis Cardinals. I love those Cardinals. Pujols is the man!!

That is cool man! I have never personally met him although his house is not too far away from mine. I just don't bother people because I know they just want to be left alone to live their life with their family when they are not being blasted by the media. There have been several occasions where I take my cars to have them serviced at a dealer ship and I see some of his cars and other Cardinal BB players cars in the garage waiting for service. (something minor normally like an oil change or what have you) Pretty cool that he takes his cars to the same dealership I goto. Although I have yet to run into him there yet. Neat cars to of course. It would be neat to work out along side of him. Was that around spring training time?

I don't know what it is about tv, but it makes everyone look bigger than what they actually are. Pujols is got some pretty good size pipes on him. Maybe not well defined, but the dude can swing a piece of wood. He has definitely got some power behind his swing. He is amazing to watch at a game. He just stands there at the plate and hits the ball as if with little or no effort at all. The next thing you know it is flying over the wall for a homer. Not always though, but for the most part.
