Battle of the PBS 70s children's shows!!!
I watched them all...but the one I always couldn't wait to watch was none other than...

Morgan freeman and Spidey...you just couldn't beat that, lol...

The Electric Company also had the coolest intro...
Season one:
YouTube - TEC- early intro and outro 1971
Season six:
YouTube - The Electric Company opening credits season 6

Dude had it going on!
I watched Sesame Street way too long (I think until I was 8 or 9), as well as Electric Company. But those shows taught me to read, and the characters were like coming home. Zoom was the BEST! All the kids learned how to do Bernadette's "arm thing" , speak Ubbi-Dubbi and drove the teachers nuts, and thought up Fannee Doolees. Now I teach my kids to do those things. And I loved Villa Alegre (as well as Carrascolendas). It made me think I could speak more Spanish than I actually could, but helped me in later years, taking Spanish in Jr. Hi.
