sorry mike, i love you and dont like it what people talk like that, again, sorry, man!! -
Phil Morris is my GodYes smoking is unhealthy, it stinks, and cigerettes generally taste like ****! Addiction is a hard thing to deal with. To quit smoking most people have to be really committed. It's tough to give up your security blanket, just ask Linus

Tense board today.
Calculated risk, like anything. The odds are probably worse than other vices, but not nearly as bad as some.Leave a comment:

Sorry to hear about your mom, but I think everyone deserves to make their own decission as to what to do with their lives without being called a stupid **** because it's not the decission you personally agree with.Leave a comment:

In the end, she wished she never smoked and got to live to see her grandkids grow up.....so keep talking your stupid ****.Leave a comment:

I haven't smoked a name brand cigarette for years.
I can't afford $9.00-$10.00 a packLeave a comment:

In Florida smokes have been very cheap since I've moved down in 2002. They just went from $3 a pack to just over $4 and another dollar tax is about to be added. When I was buying cigarettes, working my retail job in high school these taxes would have been an excellent deterrent. I think in '89 I was paying just over a dollar for Camel Lights.Leave a comment:

Me neither, never took it up.If you do the math, even at $2.00 a pack when they were cheap. If you smoke a pack a day,$14.00 a week $728.00 a year and for 15 years it equals of $10,000.oo Thats a whole bunch of megos.Leave a comment:

Oh, and smokes are about $10 a pack here in Canada. If you're a pack a day smoker, and I was, that's $3650.00 a year.
That's a lot of friggin' Megos, or one or two really rare megos, or a vacation, or some money to help put a down payment on a house, or make car payments, or a donation to those less fortunate, or.....
Remember,You give them money, they give you cancer.
hope I didn't just get preachy.Leave a comment:

I'm an ex-smoker of 5 years this summer. I don't bother being a preachy ex-smoker, as it does no good anyways. Quitting smoking is a very personal choice, and no amount of nagging is going to make a smoker quit. They have ot to WANT to quit. I will give positive re-enforment to those who WANT to quit though, YOU CAN DO IT!!Leave a comment:

Been quit a year, now. I realize that I am just one cigarette away from a pack a day habit. T1Kirk, I think most Ex-Smokers realize that and so they demonize the Smokers out of fear. I've been a Guilty Smoker for the past 20 years and finally was able to do it when I realized that I was beginning to develop a continuous wheeze...
And I wanted to lose the habit while my heart was still beating so I wouldn't end up like the Vincent Schiavelli character in the movie Ghost...
For those unfamiliar with the movie, Schiavelli is what some religions would describe as A Hungry Ghost.

I'm not a smoker, but I know a lot of people who do. I agree with T1K, an ex-smoker can be so rude to those who choose to continue.Leave a comment:

I've never even tried smoking. I have asthma, so I really appreciate what a gift healthy lungs would be (because I've never had that). Why someone would intentionally do serious damage to them is beyond me, but I try not to judge other people who do. Just keep those foul smelling things away from me.Leave a comment:
