So....
This is the first weekend I haven't been shipped out in a while, so I watched some tv. I saw two incredibly awesome shows:
-The History Channel has one called "Jurassic Fight Club," wherein they take two prehistoric beasties, analyse 'em scientificly and then compare which would win a fight. I saw the one withe the Megalodon.... one of the most horrific animals that ever lived.
-Spike TV has "Deadliest Warrior," which does a similar thing, but with historical fighters. They showed "Apache vs Gladiator," "Samurai vs Viking," "Ninja vs Spartan" and advertised next weeks episode as "Pirate vs Knight." (Although I think they missed the obvious "Pirate vs Ninja.") They get right into the nuts and bolts of the weapons, techniques, etc.... test their effectiveness (CSI style) and run the results through a computer which stages 1000 fights and tabulates the results. Then they put on a reenactment showing what would happen, on average, according to the data. It's a neat show and kinda reminds me of another old afve "Ancient Warriors," that Discovery used to show.
