oh oh..i got another one..when you go to a movie and no matter where you sit, someone always sits in front of you.....
OR just as bad....a Basketball team (seriously) sits in front of where you are sitting at. Therefore, darn near blocking the movie screen from your view.

When you have a really nice car and you wish to keep it that way. (show room mint) You take it out to a restaurant or a store on a really nice day. You park it as far away as you can from the crowd so that no one parks next to you. And.....Yes, You guessed it someone ALWAYS has to park right next to your ride no matter how far you parked away. It is almost like they do it for spite.

Technology is a double edged sword. Its helped make the world better in some ways, but its changed the way kids are brought up too.
It's a paradox. Does the convenience brought by technology make your life easier? It can, but more often it makes life more complicated because you now have more time to do other busy stuff or you can add one more stream to your multitasking.
Which brings me to another pet peeve: the current assumption that one is not productive unless they can screw up twenty things at once (called multitasking). Trying to focus on one or two things and doing them with excellence and skill is not nearly as important as being able to crank out an ***-load of mediocrity.
Happy - Happy Birthday songs at a restaurant. It seems like everyone is having a B-day just so they can get something for FREE.
Then you may appreciate this quote in an email I received from one of my best friends:
there are no caps large enough, or any font bold enough to properly convey the degree to which i despise being assaulted by someone's birthday festivities at restaurants.
I hate when my students miss class, then ask me the next day, "Did we do anything?"
I always reply, "No, we all just talked about how you were always missing class."
I also hate it when my students come into class late, walk right in front of me while I'm lecturing (as if I wasn't there), and then loudly sit down and start making noises like zipping their backpacks and pulling out books, etc.
I hate it when students start packing up their stuff 10-15 minutes before class is over.
I really hate it when they text message during class. This goes for the world in general at movies and theatre productions... it's like this light just shoots up out of their laps as if some green or blue Ark of the Covenant was just opened.... LITERALLY.
