I love the way we mix Texas culture with Mexican culture. The food here is fan-freakin-tastic. Taco stands rock and are priced right. I just want these people who enrich my state realize that they are here so their kids don't have to work the menial jobs as adults. I want them to help their children achieve in this country and not just keep a class of poor people in our society. They can't expect the population here already to change for them. I wouldn't say we are egocentric. We live in some states that are bigger thn most EU countries. Unless you are in international business, live near the southern border, etc, there was never any reason to learn another language

But I totally understand Rik, it is quite frustrating at times, but you learn how to deal with it. Myself, I spreak Dutch, English, French, a little German and a little Spanish, so I get by wherever I go.
