          museum hi-at-us...

Well like palitoy, i too need to take some time off from the high stakes world of message board forums. there is a few things in my life i need to figure out , but with summer around the corner i should find other worth while activities to keep me busy . So until i get back , may peace and love be with you all. G.R. out...

          That was fast.

P.S. Don't worry...I myself have quit the boards before...and posted within a few days again, lol.

Wecome back. I find I am here on MM all the time, regardless of whether or not I have something meaningful to say, so I think I need help, too.

My wife collects glassware, and she has some of those, too.
They make it by first pouring thin glass, changing the temperature from hot to cold, so it "cracks" a bit, and then pouring a thin but solid layer of glass around it, sealing it, and making a functional glass. What you get is a glass with a delicate network of "spiderweb" cracks running through it. It's very beautiful, especially with coloured glass.

It comes from the French word craquelé (cracked)....
