    My FX Report

Not much in the way of Megos this year. Mark Huckabone was there with his high end stuff, which looked sweet. I did see a few other heroes scattered about but nothing major. The big item I saw on Friday was a Mission to Gamma VI playset, which just happens to be one I don't have. It was complete with just one broken leaf. The seller wanted $550 for it. I was realy considering it and was walking around thinking about it. The next time I went by his booth it was gone. Decision made for me

    So I didn't buy any Megos. I did pick-up a few things:
FX Cast-A-Way exclusive Captain Action, Dr. Ling, Phantom and the Throne set. Also some pieces and stickers for customs (if you don't have these yet, what are you waiting for??)
3 EMCE Treks for $5 each
    DC Direct 13" Robin
Super Friends Superman marquette to complete my set
5 DC Universe Classic figures including the Amazo I needed
    several $5 figures for customs
    Some stuff for my kids

Oh, and I picked up my Great White Shark!!

The show itself was not near as good as past ones. Hardly any crowd all 3 days. Sometimes it was almost dead. I'm hoping the main reason for that was having it in April instead of the usual January. I'm hoping it gets moved back next year. Several dealers told me if it's in April again thay would not be back. And this was from ones who have been doing FX for 10+ years. But the guest list was pretty darn good though.

Of course the big plus for me was hanging with the guys from Cast-a-way, seeing and talking to Art & Franco -great things coming from Tiny Titans (YEAH, MAN!!), and seeing other Museum members like Shellhead and Manspider (sorry I missed LadyZod - twice!! ). Yes, parking sucks, yes food is expensive, yes it's hard to set-up and breakdown but it's all I have so I'll keep going.

Thats cool you got your Shark Scott. Good stuff.

Were there a lot of the DC Universe figures there ?

Nice score on the 13 inch Robin. That's a Great Figure.

BTW... I have all the Marquette's too. They are Fantastic.

There were quite a few actually. Mainly Wave 4, 6 and 7 with 1 or 2 from earlier waves. There were 2 Amazos (the one I bought and another one for $60), 1 Atom ($60), 1 Eradicator ($75), 1 Riddler, 1 Black Lightning ($50), 2 KB Terry Batmans ($45 and $50) and 1 KB Cyborg. Most dealers who had any had all from Wave 6 and 7. I only saw 1 2-pack (the Lanterns). No Adam Strange/Starfire, so I still need that one. I was kinda surprised I didn't see any Wave 8 but I guess it was just too soon.

I bought 3 Robin figures. Gotta love it. And I am way excited about the shark. I'll try and post a pic tonight.

Just Kirk, Klingon and Scotty. I couldn't pass them up for that.

There were a lot of dealers blowing out figures for $1-$5 each. If you were looking for things for customizing this show was for you.

Sorry I missed you too Damian.

It was great seeing you again Scott, I wish we could have had more time to chat, but with the wife and all six kids in tow I had to keep up to help keep the kids from touching anything.
Congrats on your shark!! I hope you got a killer deal.

Sorry I missed seeing you there.

                        *I* had a fantastic FX.

Got a sweet sketch from Art, and many goodies.
My husband found a table full of old KISS stuff and made out like a bandit. I stocked up on a bunch of carded Japanese micronaut/microman's... a couple of carded Starsky and Hutch's for $10 a piece, Maskatron, Farrah Fawcett for one of my extra Steve Austin's, a complete set of McDonaldland figs and a bunch of other stuff we're still sorting through.

It was a def a buyer's show and not a seller's show. And if you were looking for autographs, not for you. But a great show for sketches.

Friday is always the best day to go as a buyer. First choice, less competition from other buyers, and dealers are scared by the small crowds and are more willing to cut a deal just to make table.
