loved the fairgrounds one, that's where I met a ton of MM members.

You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie Banks -
...and I'm the other way around...I could care less about Dan Marino for example...I wouldn't even want a free autograph from him, it's worthless to me.I'm glad you enjoyed it bro,did you think it was better then the one in the fair grounds a few years back? to me that was the best one by far
I know $70 isn't as bad as some people i've seen and I know I'll regret when he dies,but i don't know I just could'nt pay it.
Now DiMaggio I would've payed in a heartbeat
I guess that's the sports freak in me.
Dan Marino would be one of the only ones I'd pay pretty much anything for

About 20 years ago, I was a big sports fan...I had a signed Joe Montana football (I have since sold it)...but once I started getting older than the pro athletes themselves...that "magic" of worshiping them faded...I no longer look up to them...especially today's sports athletes, a lot of them are pieces of mosquito droppings who are terrible role models.
The only sports figure signature I would kill for would be Muhammad Ali's...because he's a walking historical figure who's known throughout the world...no one outside the USA and Canada knows who the hell Dan Marino is, lol.

you're crazy dude, put Marino with Rice and the teams that Montana had and he would've had 8 rings, put Montana in the no D teams Marino had and he would've ended up just like him with no rings

To get back to Leonard Nimoy and Mark Hammill charging $70 and $100 for autographs......when they sign autograph star trek and star wars cards they get a small flat fee to sign 100 to 200 cards....then those cards get sold for big bucks each ($100''s to $1000's(in Hammill's case)...so they see what they charge as bargain prices especially that it's in personLast edited by trekman101; Apr 21, '09, 11:30 PM."Thats the ticket laddie"

Yeah...nice try.
Marino had the better arm...that's it.
Montana ran the offense better (and mobile, unlike Mr Robot Marino))...especially last minute come from behind wins...he was just the most collect and coolest under pressure QB ever.Last edited by Hector; Apr 21, '09, 11:33 PM.sigpicComment

yeah that's true, but those in person Auto's are worthless to collectors. Now an insert card of Nimoy I would'nt mind paying $70 for, just cause I know the re-sale value is thereTo get back to Leonard Nimoy and Mark Hammill charging $70 and $100 for autographs......when they sign autograph star trek and star wars cards they get a small flat fee to sign 100 to 200 cards....then those cards get sold for big bucks each ($100''s to $1000's(in Hammill's case)...so they see what they charge as bargain prices especially that it's in person"Time to nut up or shut up"
